Allegany County: Burglary decoy avoids prison

A woman who prosecutors say acted as a decoy has avoided a prison term. In Allegany County court today, Mandie L. Palermo, 21 of Pike, was sentenced to five years probation for her conviction to attempted burglary. A judge also told her to cough up $1,700 in restitution. The sentence is the result of a crime July 3, 2016 in Fillmore. The District Attorney said Palermo's co-defendant, Christopher Frazier, allegedly broke into the Redemption Center and stole a safe containing money.
