Obituary: Danny Jo Haswell, 50, Andover

Danny Jo Haswell, 50, passed away Saturday (Jan. 21, 2017) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a lengthy illness.    
Mr. Haswell was born on Sept. 19, 1966 in Omaha, Nebr. to David Lee and Gladys (Cardin) Haswell, Sr. He was a 1984 graduate of Platteview Senior High School in Springfield, Neb. On June 30, 2001, he married Kimberly A. Hubbard, who survives.    
Dan worked as a truck driver for Silk Road Transport in Arkport from 2000 until the present. Previously he drove for Southern Tier Express in Andover for 8 years.    
In addition to his wife Kim, Dan is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Haswell of Andover; two sons, Roger (Tracy) Waters and James Robert (Stephanie) Waters, both of Andover; his parents, David and Gladys Haswell, Sr. of Springfield, Nebr.; one brother, David Lee Haswell, Jr. of Lewisville, Nebr. and one sister, Dawn of Morocco.    
Additionally, he is survived by four grandchildren, Sarah Waters of Greenwood, Cory Waters of Wellsville and Dylan Witter and Kendra Waters, both of Andover; two great grandchildren, Roselynn Jacobs of Greenwood and Leah Waters of Wellsville; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many adopted grandchildren.    
Dan was a member of the Andover Rod & Gun Club and past member of the Andover Lions Club. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles. His true love and passion though was attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and cheering them on. The treasures of his life consisted of his family and friends, with whom he spent his time building relationships and making memories.    
There will be a time of visitation on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Baker-Swan Funeral Home in Andover. The memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following the visitation with Rev. Chris Mattison of the Andover Presbyterian Church and Rev. Calvin Densmore of the Andover First Baptist Church, co-officiating.
