Wellsville: One blog ends, another begins

Just before 5 p.m. Sunday...I did this:
It was painful. Thankfully, many of you have switched to this new site (same content, different name). The previous site grew over the past 5 years. 5.5 million views were recorded and I'm proud of that. Amazingly, the site broke records on January 1, 2017 with breaking news from Wellsville. This one story ended with 70,977 views in under 48 hours. Wow. Thank you to the faithful and occasional viewers. During the past seven days, I've heard from area/regional residents and elected officials. They were candid in their thoughts...mostly good. I've also heard from people from Oregon to Florida...Texas and California. Allegany and Steuben natives who found life elsewhere....somehow discovered my site and latched on to it. One reader said "I still care about home and your site keeps me current." That's why I do this. Commercial media outlets...with, well, staffs...will always be significant and play an important role. I'd be a fool to think otherwise. But this add-free, popup free site also has a purpose. Whether you are close by or have moved away...count on this site (by whatever name the law allows) to keep you informed. If you haven't told a friend yet, consider doing so. Again, thank you.
