Fillmore -Margaret E. Sorgen Huey of 11048 Dugway Road died Saturday, January 4, 2025 in Halifax Health Ormond Beach Hospice Care Center, Ormond Beach, FL after a very brief illness. She was born on November 10, 1942 in Lock Haven, PA, a daughter of the late Sterling and Ada Beck Sorgen. She married Thomas L. Huey on December 2, 1961 in Mill Hall, PA and were married for over 60 years until he predeceased her on March 23, 2022.
Margaret was employed as an office manager for many years until her retirement.
She enjoyed many activities which included knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, shopping, getting her nails done, traveling, reading, volunteering at the food pantry and church functions, walking on the beach at their Florida home and absolutely loved spending time with her dog, Gabby, her cat, Mowgli and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving is her children, Jane (Dave) Stenzel of Fillmore, Sharon (Tom) Lilly of Chili, Thomas (Beth) Huey of Fillmore, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Sorgen.
A graveside service will be held in Alger Cemetery and will be announced.
