Jones Memorial Urgent Care Welcomes Shawna Trudeau

WELLSVILLE, NY (January 22, 2025) - Shawna Trudeau, NP recently joined the team at the JMH Urgent Care facility.

 

Shawna is a native to Olean graduated from D’Youville with a Master of Science in Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner. She has most recently been employed as a family nurse practitioner, providing evidence-based care and individualized treatment plans to her patients and their families. She has also worked as an RN and Nurse Practitioner in the Allegany and Catt County regions. She is certified in BLS and PALS.

 

Shawna is passionate about rural health and is excited to work with the local community, stating “I consistently work to improve patient satisfaction through effective communication, empathy and timely responses to concerns.” She went on to explain, “It’s my goal to promote health maintenance and disease prevention through patient education and counseling.”

 

Brenda Mong-Szabo, VP of Specialty Services expressed excitement to have another provider on staff at Jones, stating “It’s important to the community that we have regular providers that our community can recognize and become familiar with. Shawna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will benefit both the hospital and our local community.”

 

The Jones Memorial Urgent Care clinic is located across from the lab inside the hospital. Urgent care is for non-emergency related issues only, including coughs, abdominal pain, cuts, earaches, falls, sprains, infections, minor burns, rashes, sore throat and upper respiratory infections.
