Belmont man faces charges of rape, assault and weapons
State police Thursday afternoon reported the arrest of
Lorenzo J. Brown, 62, of Belmont. He was charged by troopers with three counts
of felony first-degree rape (with force), felony first-degree sexual abuse with force,
felony second-degree assault with intent to cause injury with a weapon and
second-degree menacing with a weapon. Arraigned in CAP court, he was remanded
to the Allegany County Jail where he is being held without bail. The incident
was reported Thursday at 11:29 a.m. in the village of Belmont.
