Mary L. Adams: Loving Mother, Grandmother, Friend
Mary L. Adams, 85, of 9459 Dewey Road, Black Creek, passed
away, Friday, December 27, 2024 at home after a short illness.
Born on September 10, 1939, in Hinsdale she was a daughter
of George and Margaret Willover Barber. On October 22, 1955, in Black Creek,
she married John M. Adams who predeceased her on April 21, 1993.
Mary was a graduate of Cuba Central School. While her children were young, she was a
homemaker and later worked for Home Care and Hospice for 25 years before
retiring.
She enjoyed reading, crafts, crocheting, knitting, and line
danced for sixteen years, but most of all cherished the time she spent with her
family.
Mary is survived by 6 sons, Aaron (Robin) Adams of Black
Creek, Donald (Cathy) Adams of Cuba, Tom
Adams of Cuba, Ray Adams of Black
Creek, Dale (Beverly) Adams of Black Creek and Lyle (Wendy) Adams of Black
Creek; a daughter Susan (Jerry) Smith of Cuba; 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great
Grandchildren, and Several Great-Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and
Nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased
by 4 Brothers Richard, Kenneth, Joseph, and Harold Williams, 3 Sisters Dorothy
Johnson, Margaret Gaines, and Ruth Hemmingway, and a daughter in law Vicky
Adams.
Friends may call at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home &
Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 from
3-5 P.M. A Celebration of Life Service
will begin at 5 in the Funeral Home.
Pastor Bill Beck will officiate.
Burial will be in Bellville Cemetery, Town of New Hudson,
New York.
