Nunda --- Clifford “Cliff” Herbert Lockwood, 96, a lifelong resident of Nunda, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born on veteran’s day, November 11, 1928, in Granger, a son of the late William and Catherine Wurt Lockwood. For 63 years he was married to Ella Carmer who predeceased him on March 4, 2016.
Cliff was a veteran of the United State Army and served during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. Afterward Cliff was employed by Lucidol in Piffard until his retirement in 1991.
Surviving is a son, Terry (Cindy) Lockwood of Henrietta, a daughter-in-law, Merrie Lockwood of Cuba, a close friend, Vera Levey of Mt. Morris, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and his parents he was predeceased by a brother, his youngest son, infant twins and a granddaughter.
A private burial will be held in Short Tract Cemetery.
