Wellsville has a new interim school superintendent

From Wellsville School - Let's give a big Wellsville Lions welcome to Dr. Colleen Taggerty who was appointed as our interim superintendent at tonight's regular board meeting. Her first day with us will be Monday, Aug. 26. The school board will begin its superintendent search immediately, but in the meantime, Dr. Taggerty said she's "excited for this opportunity to work with Wellsville’s students, families, and staff during this time of transition." She is the former Olean City School District superintendent, where she served from 2008 to 2017. Most recently, she was the president of Archbishop Walsh and Southern Tier Catholic Schools in Olean and before that did an interim superintendent stint at the Fredonia Central School District. She has extensive administrative experience with local BOCES systems and has been an adjunct faculty member at several area colleges and universities.
