Betty S. Collins, 93, formerly of Portville, New York passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Olean after a lengthy illness.
Born on September 12, 1930, in Farmersville, she was a
daughter of Arthur and Clara Sherwood Burrows.
She was married to Harvey Collins who predeceased her in 1994.
Betty was a member of the Portville Baptist Church and
enjoyed sewing, crocheting, hand embroidery, and quilting.
She is survived by three sons Kenneth (Sandy) Collins of Georgia, Donald Forrester of Franklinville and Neil (Eileen) Collins of Portville;
a daughter Sharon (Howard) Carrier of Cuba; several grandchildren, great
grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Brown of Cuba, Shirley
Jones of Alabama, Christine Williamson of Georgia; a cousin Carol Sampson of Farmersville;
Several Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased
by an infant son Billy Forrester and her siblings Barbara, Jimmy, Arthur,
Ralph, Alfred, Richard, Leah, and Genevieve.
Friends will be received at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home
& Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on Monday, August 12, 2024
from 10-11:00 A.M. A Funeral Service
will begin at 11:00 A.M. Pastor David
Elliott will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean, New York.
