Born May 26, 1927, in Scio, she was the ninth child of Andrew Gardner and Bertha Leora Mead Reynolds. She graduated valedictorian from Scio Central School and was employed by the Allegany County Clerk's office for approximately 25 years, serving as Deputy County Clerk for much of that time. Later she was employed by the Allegany County Sheriff's Department for seven years, retiring in 1984. She will be long remembered for her fierce love and devotion for her family, enjoying her extensive vegetable and flower gardens, being an avid Earnhardt Sr. and Earnhardt Jr. NASCAR fan, and for being a wonderful friend. She was married to her husband, Carroll Goodliff, for 71 years.
Surviving besides her husband, Carroll, are: a daughter, Debra (Donovan) Rahr; two beloved grandsons, Jason (Nena) Rahr and Jeffrey (Lindsey) Rahr; four great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brenden, David, and Zoey; a great-great grandson, Mason; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters, Dorothy, Anna, Marian, and Louise; and four brothers, Elford, Archie, Wilbur, and Leon.
Services will be private. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship.
