Born July 6, 1949, in Wellsville, he was the son of John and
Frances Perham Sekoll. On July 25, 1987,
in Bradley’s Garden, Wellsville, he married the former Mary Fanton. Jerry was an over the road truck driver for
many years until his health forced him to retire in 2001, he then worked for
CTC in Andover for 4 years. Jerry would
also drive to the cities to be an Uber and Lyft driver part time. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all, he treasured time spent with his
family.
Surviving besides his wife of 39 years, Mary, are: two daughters, Lisa Cleghorn of Palmetto, FL
and Jackie (Randy) Hackett of Andover;
four grandchildren, Samantha, T.J., Tyler, and Maci; three sisters, Cheryl (John) Smith of
Norristown, PA, Paula (John) Passmore and Sherry Fletcher, both of Mount
Morris; a brother, Irvin Lewis of Mount
Morris; very special friends, Eric
Hollenbeck and Lloyd Hollenbeck; nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In
addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, John Sekoll,
Larry Sekoll, Dave Sekoll, and Albert Howe.
Honoring Jerry’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A gathering to celebrate Jerry’s life will be
held on July 10, 2021, the location will be announced.
