Wellsville motorists: Pack your patience Monday and Tuesday

Driving in a section of downtown Wellsville will be annoying Monday and Tuesday. On North Main Street, between the hospital and Genesee Parkway, paving will be taking place. Tuesday crews will finish paving on Main Street to Madison. Village officials say motorist's should plan on delays. Bill Whitfield is the Director Public Works. He told The Spectator this is the first major paving effort in more than a decade. Whitfield told the newspaper his crews have several other projects to get to. Work on the Gateway project at the Parkway and Madison will start up once Alfred State college students return. Pocket Parks on Main Street will also be enhanced and construction will continue on a sidewalk underneath the Bolivar Road bridge at the Riverwalk Plaza.
