Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on August 13, 2019, deputies of the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office arrested Earl F. Pratt, age 58, of Adams Avenue, Hornell, New York. It is alleged that in October 2018, Mr. Pratt knowingly and with intent to defraud, presented a false document to the Steuben County Department of Social Services. Mr. Pratt was charged with one count of Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree, a class E felony. Mr. Pratt was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Village of Bath Court at a later date.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Steuben County Department of Social Services Fraud and Legal Affairs Unit, and the District Attorney’s Office.
