WHO: State Fire Protection Specialists from the New
York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services’ Office of Fire
Prevention and Control
WHAT: Eighteen
Fire Protection Specialists will graduate from the Office of Fire Prevention
and Control Specialist Academy Class. The graduates completed a 17-week
training program at various locations across the state including the Academy of
Fire Science, and at the State Preparedness Training Center, and will join the
Office of Fire Prevention and Control upon graduation. The training provided
each specialist with instruction on a wide variety of aspects related to fire protection,
prevention and safety. Graduates will be stationed at the following locations
across the state: Albany; Binghamton; Buffalo; Hauppauge, Long Island; Montour
Falls; Rochester and Tarrytown.
