BELFAST - Edward A. Nichols, 79, of 42 ½ Main St., Belfast,
passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018, at Absolut Care Houghton, following
a brief illness. Born November 9, 1938 in Franklinville, he was the son of
Arthur and Margaret Feduski Nichols.
Edward grew up in Franklinville and attended Franklinville
Central School. For several years he was employed at Stardell Products in
Franklinville. Later, for many years he was a farmer in Belfast, raising beef
cattle.
He enjoyed roller skating, hunting and fishing but most of
all he loved his family and spending time with them, especially his
Granddaughter and great Granddaughter.
Surviving are his lifelong companion, Debra J. Finken of
Belfast; a daughter, Julie (Robert) Kewley of Gowanda; four grandchildren and a
great granddaughter; four sisters, Marge Voss of Fillmore, Frances Ponton of
Olean, Ruth Kenyon of Franklinville and June VanBuskirk of Sarasota, FL; and
several nieces and nephews.
Edward was predeceased by a brother, John Patterson; and a
sister, Marie Green.
Friends are invited
to a prayer service at the Treusdell Funeral Home, Belfast on Monday September
24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Mancuso, pastor of St. Patrick's Church
in Belfast, will be celebrant. Memorials may be made to the American Heart
