Press Release-Sweden Township Police:
Last evening officers were dispatched along with Ulysses Fire/EMS, Harrison Township Fire and Medics to a reported ATV crash near Burt Street and Academy Street in Ulysses Borough.
When first responders arrived they found a male in a ditch with his ATV on top of him and witnesses to the crash tending to him.
They moved the ATV and removed him from the ditch and immediately began emergency medical treatment, an air medical helicopter was requested and the individual went into traumatic cardiac arrest.
Even with the almost immediate care and the best of efforts by medical personal he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The other individual he was riding with fled the area and made no calls for help and was not identified.

Notification of immediate family members in Wyano, Pa were attempted by Belle Vernon State police. Notification was made later in the evening.
The man was identified as Gary Cykrot, 65, of Wyano, PA and he was operator of a Polaris 500 (owned by him ) and cause of death was blunt force trauma. Police said he was not wearing a helmet.
Assisted at the scene by Ulysses Fire/EMS, Harrison Township Fire, Coudersport Medics, Assist Deputy Coroner Ken Wingo and Kightlinger Motors.
