Beverly J. Rogers “beloved wife, mother, Nana, and sister”
COUDERSPORT, PA.- Beverly J. “Bev” Rogers, 77, a lifelong
resident of Coudersport, passed away unexpectedly, after suffering an apparent
heart attack, on Thursday, September 20, 2018, in UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
Born on April 21, 1941 in Coudersport, she was a daughter of
Paul Sr. and Ethel White Phelps. On
September 16, 1967 in Coudersport, she married Kenneth L. “Kenny” Rogers, who
survives.
Bev attended the former Coneville country school and
graduated from Coudersport High School.
She was employed by the Federal Agricultural Stabilization Office in
Coudersport, retiring in 1995 after 35 years of service. She was also secretary
and auditor for Hebron Township for many years.
Bev attended Hebron Union Church in Coudersport. She was a
member of Eulalia Chapter #148 Order of Eastern Star in Coudersport. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening,
canning, baking, bird watching and traveling.
Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving besides her husband are a son, Kenneth L. Jr.
(Nichole) Rogers of Coudersport; two grandchildren, Courtney Rogers and Logan
Rogers; a brother, Paul Jr. (Cheryl) Phelps of Coudersport; a sister, Barbara
Easton of Coudersport; three nieces, Paula Jo (Mike) Tarabori, Theresa (Gary)
Denhoff, and Ellen (Tadd) Ostroski, all of Coudersport; and two nephews, Bryan
(Callee) Phelps and Eddie (Leslie) Easton, both of Coudersport.
Bev was predeceased by her parents.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
on Monday at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street,
Shinglehouse, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday,
September 25, 2018, with the Rev. Howard R. Burnham, pastor emeritus of Hebron
Union Church, officiating. Burial will
be in Woodland Cemetery, Hebron.
Members of Eulalia Chapter #148 Order of Eastern Star will
conduct a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
