Allegany County Sheriff's Blotter

Allegany County Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reports that on September 7, 2018, following an Investigation into the illegal growing of marijuana, Investigators from the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Richard A Burke Jr. age 59 of Amity for the following charges:
-           Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd Degree
-           Unlawful growing of Cannabis
Burke was processed and issued appearance tickets directing him to the Town of Amity Court on September 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. for additional court action.

On September 10, 2018, following an investigation into an incident that occurred in the Town of Angelica on August 2nd, 2018, Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, arrested Jeffery L. Nendza, age 35, of Angelica charging him with the following:
-           Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree
-           Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree
-           Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
-           Criminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument
-           Endangering the Welfare of a Child
Nendza who was currently incarcerated at the Allegany County Jail on unrelated charges, was processed and transported to the Town of Friendship Court where he was arraigned and remanded back to the Allegany County Jail without bail. Nendza will reappear in the Town of Angelica Court on September 26, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. for additional court action.
