Friendship sex offender sentenced to jail for multiple crimes

A registered sex offender from Friendship was sentenced to jail today for committing multiple crimes. Beau Eck, 29, was directed to serve six months in the Allegany County Jail for his conviction to a felony sex offender registry violation. The District Attorney's Office released a press statement that said "the defendant was found to be in possession of a cell phone with several different social media applications downloaded and active such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Messenger and KIK. He had a false name on Facebook and the account was not registered. He was previously convicted of a sex offender registration violation on October 26. 2015." Judge Thomas Brown also sentenced Eck to five years probation.
Eck was then sentenced to six months for his conviction to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class E felony. Prosecutors said that on October 12, 2017, Eck possessed and sold 60 of his father's prescription Hydrocodone pills. The cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Tom Fuoco. Eck was represented by JR Santana carter, Assistant Public Defender.
