Angelica, NY - The Allegany County Democratic Committee will
host its summer picnic on Sunday, August 26th at the Hill-Warner American
Legion Post #44 at 16 W. Main St., Angelica, NY. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00
p.m. Everyone is welcome. You need not be a registered Democrat or even
a registered voter to attend.
Guests will feast on a Stearns chicken barbeque dinner with
all the trimmings, including homemade potato salad and coleslaw, plus baked
beans, beverages and a tasty dessert. A
cash bar is available.
Special guests include Liza Abraham from the NY State
Democratic Committee and Peter Keenan, a candidate for legislator in Steuben
County. Both will speak on the topic of
mobilizing voters. Liza is crisscrossing the region offering state-level
training and support. Peter’s first-person account of his unstoppable
door-to-door effort will leave you cheering!
