Hazel B. Freas-Kromer, 90, of E. Washington St., passed away Tuesday (March 6, 2018) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Born in Birdsall, NY, April 17, 1927, the daughter of Jenny Karnes, she had resided in the Hornell area most of her life. Hazel enjoyed playing Scrabble and cards with friends. She was a past president of the Eagles Club. Most of all Hazel loved to spend time with her family and her pets.
She was predeceased by her parents, first husband: Clarence Freas Sr., second husband: Ronald Kromer,2 brothers: Harold and Henry Hilyard and a sister: Helen Beaver.
She is survived by her daughter: Sharon (Robert) Stillman of Hornell, 3 sons: Larry (Alice) Freas Sr. of Rochester, Clarence (Jean) Freas Jr. of Arkport and Gary (Crystal) Freas of Alfred Station, 10 grandchildren: Christine (Hoke) Smith, Larry (Beth) Freas Jr., David Freas, Jon (Christina) Freas, Lisa Freas, Steven Brott Jr., Sandy Rovito, Gary (Lacey) Freas Jr., Sierra (Robert) Boner, and Brett (Carissa) Freas, 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great, great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
