Hornell man admits to driving drunk in Allegany County

A Hornell man pleaded guilty this week in Allegany County court to aggravated driving while intoxicated while a 13-year-old child was in the vehicle. The incident occurred April 23, 2016 in the Town of Birdsall. James M. Wheeler, 59, of North Main Street pleaded guilty to the crime. His sentence? Judge Thomas Brown granted a three year condition discharge and also ordered Wheeler the use an ignition interlock for the next three years. His license was revoked for one year and he must pay and a fine and court surcharge.
