SP Amity- Two vehicle collision involving a NYSP vehicle-Arrest Update
*UPDATE- On June 7, 2017, Troopers arrested Betty Lewis, 73 of Wellsville, NY for Driving While Intoxicated. Investigation alleges that Lewis had a .21 BAC at the time of the collision on April 26, 2017.
On April 26, 2017 at 4:28 p.m., an unmarked NYSP vehicle, 2016 Chrysler 200 was traveling southbound on the Genesee Parkway in the Village of Wellsville. A 2008 Ford Escape operated by Lewis failed to stop for a red light at the intersection of the Parkway and Madison Street and was struck by the NYSP vehicle. Both operators were transported to Jones Memorial Hospital with injuries. No emergency lights were activated during or before this collision.
Lewis was issued an Appearance Ticket for the Village of Wellsville for June 2017.
