6/1/17 1:40pm- A March 17th fire investigation in the Allegany County Town of Birdsall has resulted in the arrest of an Arkport man. State Police Thursday afternoon charged 62-year-old William Bennett with making a false written statement. He was released on an appearance ticket for court.
6/1/17 3:26pm- Two people have been arrested following a May 30, 2017 burglary complaint in the Town of Caneadea. On Thursday, Troopers charged Eric Harrison, 23 and Brittany L. Foster, 26, both of Salamanca with two counts each of burglary 2nd, a class C felony. Both were detained for court action.
6/1/17 8:10pm- During a traffic stop on State Route 19 in the Town of Hume, State Police arrested Jacqueline Y. McCumiskey, 52, of Belfast. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and having a BAC above .08%. She was issued tickets for court and released.
6/1/17 1:15pm- State police arrested a 15-year-old boy from Limestone following an incident in Allegany. The lad was charged with criminal sale of marijuana 5th: 2 grams.
6/1/17 3:42pm- State police said two people were injured in a two vehicle crash on State Route 39 in Yorkshire. Troopers listed the drivers as Rebecca J. Scharf, 74 of Arcade and James F. Webb, 55, of Belfast.
6/1/17 12:12pm- State police investigated a one car crash with injury at the intersection of Robert Dann Drive and Aurene Drive in the Town of Erwin. Police listed the driver as Scott L. Fanton, 48, of Wellsville.
6/1/17 5:28pm- An Arkport man is facing felony and other charges after state police finished an investigation into an April 2nd traffic complaint in the Village of Arkport. State Police said 27-year-old Matthew Howe was charged with felony criminal mischief as well as misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, reckless driving and aggravated unlicensed operation. He was also charged with harassment with physical contact and two traffic infractions. Court action is pending.
