Livingston County Court Report for June 1, 2017

After presentation by Victor D. Rowcliffe, First District Attorney, the following cases were handled in the Livingston County Court before the Honorable Dennis S. Cohen on June 1, 2017.

CRASTEN BROCKWAY, age 34, of Dansville was sentenced on a violation of probation to 1 year in state prison plus 1 year post-release supervision.

CHARLES F. LEWIS, age 33, of Bloomfield, charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree (D Felony) and Issuing a Bad Check (B Misdemeanor), appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to June12 , 2017.

RICHARD P. LEE, age 43, of Caledonia was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (E Felony), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (E Felony), Failure to Keep Right, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. He was arraigned with his attorney, pled not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to August 10, 2017. His license was suspended pending prosecution.

OWEN R. LOWRY, age 30, of Geneseo was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (E Felony), Driving with .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol in His Blood (E Felony), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree (E Felony), Operating a Motor Vehicle without an Ignition Interlock Device (Misdemeanor), and Failure to Yield the Right of Way to Pedestrian in Cross Walk. He was arraigned with his attorney, pled not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to August 10, 2017.

CURTIS J. MCFARLAND, age 27, of Rochester, was sentenced on a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree (D Felony) and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree (E Felony) to 3 years in state prison plus 2 years post-release supervision as a second felony offender. He was also ordered to pay a $325 surcharge, a $50 DNA fee, and restitution.

ERIC W. MEYERS, age 35, of Lima was sentenced on a conviction of Aggravated Driving with .18 of One Percent or More of Alcohol in His Blood (E Felony) to time served (6 months incarceration) and 5 years probation to include electronic home monitoring and Drug Treatment Court. He was also ordered to pay a $520 surcharge, a $50 DNA fee, and his license was revoked with a requirement to install an Ignition Interlock Device.

LISA A. ROMANO, age 45, of Dansville was sentenced on a conviction of Criminal Possession of a Substance in the Fifth Degree (D Felony) to 1 1/2 years in state prison plus 2 years post-release supervision. She was also sentenced on a violation of probation to 1 to 3 years in state prison. She was also ordered to pay a $325 surcharge and a $50 DNA fee.

CARSON SIMMS, age 35, of Rochester was sentenced on a conviction of Aggravated Driving with .18 of One Percent or More of Alcohol in Her Blood (E Felony) to 5 years probation to include electronic home monitoring and 128 hours community service. She was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine, a $520 surcharge, and a $50 DNA. Her license was revoked with a requirement to install an Ignition Interlock Device.

SHAHID SMITH, age 35, formerly of Livingston Correctional Facility was charged with Promoting Prison in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Misdemeanor). He was arraigned with his attorney, pled not guilty, and the matter was adjourned to July 6, 2017.

BRUCE M. WHITE, age 28, of Livonia appeared on a violation of probation and the matter was adjourned to June 12, 2017.

LANCE WILLIAMS, age 37, formerly of Groveland Correctional Facility, charged with Assault in the Second Degree (D Felony), appeared with his attorney and the matter was adjourned to July 6, 2017.
