Allegany County: Travel alert

TRAVEL ADVISORY
State Route 19
Town of Hume
Allegany County
The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that pavement recycling work will begin on State Route 19 on Thursday, June 8, 2017, weather permitting.  The project will extend from 0.1 miles north of County Route 23 to the Wyoming County line, for a total of approximately 3.6 miles.  The scope of this project includes work within the town of Hume in Allegany County. A chip seal course will be placed in the same location at a later time, weather permitting.  A new advisory will be issued at that time. Motorists will encounter flaggers, lane closures and could experience travel delays.  It is imperative that motorists remember to drive carefully through the many highway and bridge construction zones they will encounter this season.
