BELMONT - Charles R. Maybee, 71, of 5044 State Route 244, passed away in his home on Thursday (Feb. 16, 2017) following a long illness.
He was born in Wellsville on Nov. 2, 1945, the son of Donald E. and Lois Fuller Maybee.
A lifelong resident of the Scio-Belmont area, he was a graduate of the Scio Central School and had attended the Alfred State College.
He was the owner of Maybee Enterprises in Belmont.
He was a life member of the OOIDA, member of the National Federation of Independent Businessmen and was a member of the Farm Credit East.
He enjoyed the time he spent with his family and also his dogs and collecting farm tractors, trucks and model trains.
He is survived by the Love of His Life, Kimberly McDowell; daughters, Sherrie (Paul) Allen of Painted Post, N.Y., Kasey McDowell of Belmont, N.Y.; sisters, Cheryl (Michael) Smith of Orrville, Ohio, Cynthia (Rosario) Loliancono of Jamestown, N.Y., and Carol Maybee of Olean, N.Y.; niece, Amber Phearsdorf; nephews, Aaron Smith, Todd Smith and Ryan Loliancono.
He was also predeceased by his parents and a brother, Calvin E. Maybee.
Friends may call at the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home in Wellsville on Saturday (Feb. 25, 2017) from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., when services will be held with Pastor Bill Aylor of the Genesis Bible Church of Scio officiating.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA Serving Allegany County, Amity Rescue Squad, Belmont Fire Department or the Scio Fire Department.
