Loving father, brother, friend
CUBA - Thomas Michael McLaughlin, 71, of 141 W. Main St., passed away Sunday (Feb. 19, 2017) at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born on Dec. 13, 1945, in Cuba, he was a son of Thomas and Nina Polvino McLaughlin. In 1973, he married the former Wendy Estabrook, who predeceased him March 5, 1990.
Mike was a graduate of the former Cuba High School, class of 1963; and Jamestown Community College.
He served in the U.S. Navy. After that he worked for Moonwinks Restaurant & Lounge, West Valley Nuclear Services and Seneca Allegany Casino. At one time he was a salesman for Mastel Ford in Olean.
Some of his favorite hobbies included bird watching, fishing and antiquing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his children, Adam (Casey) McLaughlin of California, Ryan (Kristin Harripaul) McLaughlin of Georgia and Dannee (Patrick Chesney) McLaughlin of Friendship; a brother, Pat (Kathy) McLaughlin of Jamestown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife and parents.
Friends will be received Thursday (Feb. 23, 2017) at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service Inc., 9 Bull St., Cuba, from 2 to 4 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held. The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso will officiate.
