A deal was reached with one of three men accused in a string of burglaries in Allegany County last summer. Joseph M. Kovacs, 25, of Health Camp Road in Cuba was originally charged with five felony counts of burglary. However, in court last week, Kovacs pleaded guilty to petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. He was ordered to make $770 in restitution and sentenced to a conditional discharge. Judge Terry Parker also assessed Kovacs a DNA fee.
The crimes occurred last year in Caneadea, New Hudson and Rushford.
