Court rejects appeal from Wyoming County man

An Appellate Court has rejected an appeal filed by a Wyoming County man. Nathan Hulme, 25, was convicted in 2014 on charges of 1st degree perjury, 1st degree reckless endangerment, attempted 2nd degree assault and tampering with physical evidence, all felonies. He was sentenced to 6-12 years in prison and is currently an inmate at Franklin Correctional in Malone, NY. The appeal was argued by the Wyoming County Public Defenders office. There were numerous claims made, including that Hulme was deprived a fair trial. In its decision handed down Friday, the court said "that his conviction is not supported by legally sufficient evidence (and) are barred by his valid waiver of the right to appeal." Hulme is eligible for parole in October 2019. You can read the entire decision HERE.
