Strykersville woman will remain in prison after court says no to appeal in stabbing case

A state Appellate Court has ruled that a Strykersville woman will remain in state prison after it rejected her appeal. Crystal N. Beasley, 38 was convicted of 1st degree assault after she stabbed a Dansville woman. In her appeal, Beasley claimed the jury instructions were improper. However, the Court said in its opinion Friday that
"we conclude that any such error is harmless inasmuch as the proof of defendant’s guilt is overwhelming." The court also rejected other claims. The full decision is HERE.
