On 01/10/2025 at 04:38 AM the City of Olean Fire Department was dispatched to a report of multiple structures on fire in the vicinity of 212 King St. Fire units arrived at 04:42 and found a large garage on fire behind the residence of 218 King St, with fire starting to spread to the exterior of another nearby garage. Initial fire attack was made using multiple 2-1/2” hose lines. The fire was knocked down and the damage to the exposure stopped. The fire was deemed under control at 05:20. The City of Olean was assisted on scene by the Olean police Department, Trans Am Ambulance Service, and Portville Fire Department’s air truck. Allegany and Weston Mills Volunteer Fire Departments were on standby for the City during the incident. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
