Town of Allen --- Marvin “Marve” R. Redman of Town of Allen, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the age of 90 in his home. He was born on February 26, 1934, in Fillmore, a son of the late Russell and Alice Histed Redman. He married Katherine Klein who survives.
Marve was a graduate of Fillmore Central School, class of 1952. For many years, he and his wife were the proud owners of the Redman Family Dairy Farm, Fallbrook Farm. He served numerous terms as the Town of Allen Supervisor, was a longtime member of the Short Tract United Methodist Church and a member of several agriculture organizations.
Marve was a giving individual and enjoyed activities such as square dancing with The Dalton Gang, being a Boy Scout leader, bowling, playing cards, camping and hunting.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was adored by his family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 68 years are their children, Kenneth (Theresa) Redman, Randy (Debbie) Redman, Kevin (Tracy) Redman, and Rhonda (Jim) Wright; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Helen Linza and Wilma (John Cook) Redman and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service will be held at the Fillmore Wesleyan Church. Alex Pierce, pastor of the Short Tract Community Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Short Tract Cemetery, Short Tract.
