Thomas G. Hribal “beloved son, husband, and uncle”
SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Thomas G. Hribal, 52, of Shinglehouse,
passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, December 6, 2020, following a
period of failing health.
Born on Monday, January 29, 1968, in the US Army Hospital,
Berlin, Germany, he was a son of Thomas E. and Janet Kramer Hribal. On October 28, 2009 in Ludowici, Georgia, he
married Paula M. McDonald, who survives.
He was a graduate of Westmoreland High School in
Scottdale. Thomas enlisted in the US
Army, serving in the Persian Gulf War.
He proudly served from 1988 until 1991, attaining the rank of PFC. Thomas worked for the US Census Bureau until
ill health forced him to retire.
Thomas enjoyed hunting and reading Zane Grey works. A
history buff, he enjoyed watching the History Channel.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 11 years; his
father and stepmother, Thomas and Jeannie Hribal of Everest; his mother, Janet
Hribal of Hortense, Georgia; a half-brother, Troy; a half-sister, Tiffany; a
niece; and four nephews, including Daniel C. Thompson of Shinglehouse.
Thomas was predeceased by two sisters, Michelle Hribal and
Bobbie Hribal.
In honoring Thomas’ wishes, there will be no public
visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the LEEK
Hunting and Mountain Preserve, 497 PA 244, Oswayo, PA 16915.
Thomas’ family has entrusted his care and cremation
arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L.
Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
