A large plume of smoke was quite visible in the Village of Wellsville Monday around 9 a.m. It caused concern for some. Wellsville police were first on the scene of the incident on Pine Street. It wasn't a house, shed, garage or barn on fire...it was just a resident burning debris. He was counseled on the law and the man agreed to immediately extinguish to fire.
