The 9th season of Music on the Lawn at Ulysses Library
concludes on Sunday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m. featuring the trio 3D. 3D was launched in 2016 when Wellsboro-based
musicians Daria Guelig, Dave Milano, and Dave Driskell wondered what might
emerge if they combined their distinctly varied musical backgrounds. Daria’s
hammered dulcimer delivered traditional Old Time and Celtic music.
Multi-instrumentalist Dave Driskell added jazz and ragtime, and Dave Milano’s
finger-style guitar fetched in folk, pop, and Americana. Their genre-blending
experiment gave each of the three an opportunity to stretch their musical legs,
and resulted in a happily unique ensemble with an uncommonly engaging and
diverse musical repertoire. Please bring
a lawn chair or blanket. Rain location
is the Tri-Town Fire Hall. A collection
will be taken during intermission to benefit the Ulysses Library Endowment
Fund. The Tri-Town Volunteer Firemen's
Auxiliary will host an ice cream social by donation from 5:00 -- 6:00 and
during intermission. Funding for Music
on the Lawn at Ulysses Library is provided by the Barbara Joy Olney Community
Harmony Fund, an endowment fund with the Community Foundation for the Twin
Tiers.
