July was wet in Wellsville, but 2018 was worse

July 2019 was a rainy month in Wellsville, but the rain gauge at Wellsville Regional News (WRN) shows that 2018 had much more precipitation. In July, the WRN rain gauge collected 4.2 inches of rain. Here are the reports from the past few years:
July 2018: 6.2 inches
July 2017: 3.71 inches
July 2016: 1.8 inches
July 2015: 1.07 inches
July 2014: 3.23 inches
July 2013: 3.44 inches
So yes, this July was rainy...last year was worse, and the several previous years were 'dry.'
So, as far as other weather stats, the WRN weather station took a hit, both physically and via technology. I have no interest in investing in new equipment, and so, I will rely on the National Weather Service certified site at the Wellsville Airport. This site underwent a year of testing in the late 1990's before it was certified. And yes, temperature readings on 'the hill' are different than 'downtown.' That is evident when you watch any Buffalo TV station in the winter when they say the Wellsville temperature in 15 and you have a reading of -6. It's not the TV station fault...they just use certified data.
So, according to the Wellsville Airport approved readings, in July...
The high temp was 79 and the low was 55.
