Raymond M. Shutt, 87, of Genesee, PA, died Friday, January
4, 2019 in his home. Born May 23, 1931,
in Bingham Township, PA, he was the son of Clyde and Ruby A. “Peg” Baker
Shutt. A 1948 graduate of Ulysses High
School, he enlisted with the US Army on June 28, 1951 and served honorably
during the Korean War, discharged as a Sergeant on March 27, 1954. Mr. Shutt owned and operated a television
sales and repair business for 25 years and was rural mail carrier with the US
Postal Service in Loganton, PA for 16 years.
He was a member of the DAV and the NRA.
Surviving are: ten children, Paul
Douglas Shutt of Phoenix, AZ, Raymond Shutt, Jr. of Zephyr Hills, FL, Rhonda
Jean Goodell of Germany, Karen M. Shutt of NC, Mary Lee Brewer of IL, Judy
Fisher of Lock Haven, Rodger Shutt of Germany, Sandi Shutt of Coudersport,
Sherri King of Eldred, and Katherine Suzanne Shutt of ME; many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; and former wife, Daisy
Elliott of Genesee. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister. There will be no visitation or service. Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Patterson Cancer
