Man receives prison time in Cuba Meth case, Wellsville drug case

An Olean man is headed to state prison for committing drug crimes in the village of Cuba and Wellsville. In Allegany County court Tuesday, 39-year-old Jose Maisonet Jr. was sentenced to serve two years in state prison, followed by two years post-release supervision. On July 14, 2016 in Wellsville, Maisonet possessed and sold to an Wellsville police department agent four dosage units of Subpoxone. Then, on October 25, 2016, in Cuba, he manufactured Meth. Judge Thomas Brown sentenced his to two years each in both cases, but ordered the sentences run concurrently. Attorney Tom Ross represented Maisonet. The cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney's Mike Finn and Tom Fuoco.
