...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS EVENING...
...WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM
EST MONDAY...
* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow. Dangerously cold wind chills expected. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Wind chills as low as 30 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Wyoming, Cattaraugus, Allegany, and Southern Erie counties.
* WHEN...For the Winter Storm Warning, until 6 PM EST this evening. For the Wind Chill Warning, from 6 PM this evening to
7 PM EST Monday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The worst conditions will be through mid-morning. Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 15
minutes.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions.
This is a potentially dangerous situation to be outdoors. If you must be outside, be sure to cover all exposed skin. Frostbite can occur in 15 minutes or less with apparent temperatures of 25 below zero or colder.
