In 2003 Dan joined Young & Franklin, Inc., in Liverpool,
NY, retiring as President in 2016. While there, Dan became a fan of The Retreat
where he and Monica made many wonderful friends that they traveled to parts of
Europe and the US. Dan’s favorite trip from the many countries he visited was
to Ireland.
After retirement, wanting to return to Cuba Lake, he built
his dream cabin overlooking the lake. It was another place to share good times
with friends and family. Wherever Dan went, friends followed. He loved taking
pictures and videos with his iPhone, and anyone visiting with him spent much of
the evening looking at them. Of course, the first ones he showed were of his
beautiful grandchildren, and of the trips he took, telling every detail of what
he loved about them. Dan always put his family first, and was very loyal to his
friends as well. He was generous, gracious and giving, and his favorite saying
was “I hope I go out even!” Well Dan, you went out ahead! Dan was a member of
the VFW Post, and the American Legion. Along
