Patricia K. Torok, 74, of Genesee, PA, died Monday, September
10, 2018 at UPMC Cole, Coudersport, PA after being stricken at home. Born October 24, 1943, in Pocatello, ID, she
was the daughter of John and Clarice Jelinek Szabo. On October 27, 1962, in Brunswick, OH, she
married Harold A. “John” Torok, who survives.
Her life was devoted to her family.
She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm in Ulysses Township
for many years. Pat was employed by the
Potter County Municipal Sewage Agency for 17 years, Northern Tier Children’s
Home in Harrison Valley, Cole Memorial Hospital, and retired from the Potter
County Sheriff’s Office. She served as a
Sunday school teacher and secretary/treasurer for the Gold Church and Ulysses
United Methodist Church, and volunteered with the Potter County unit of the American
Cancer society for many years. Pat was a
voracious reader and visited the library weekly. Surviving besides her husband, John,
are: three sons, John (Sue) Torok, David
(Melanie) Torok, and James (Bonnie) Torok;
five grandchildren, John Jr., Jessica, David “DJ”, Gage, and
Austin; a great-grandson, Caiden; a sister, Linda (Wally) Abend; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM,
Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Gold Church, 2402 SR 49 W, Ulysses,
PA. The Rev. Frank Mickle will
officiate. Memorials may be made to
