Pennsylvania police K-9 dies in training accident



It is with great sorrow that I am informing you all that on June 6, 2018 at 12:02 a.m. K9 Choper of the Conewango Township Police Department died from injuries sustained during a training exercise earlier this evening. K-9 Choper fell from the roof of a three story building during a training event. A special thanks to the Veterinarian and staff at Russell Veterinary Hospital PC that worked tirelessly in their attempts to save Choper. We are all deeply saddened at the loss of K-9 Choper. We are thankful for everything he was able to accomplish for our citizens during his time with us and our hearts go out to his handler, Officer Scott Neiswonger.
Thanks to the Officers from Warren City Police, Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County Prison staff and the Pennsylvania State Police for their assistance at the scene and after. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming.
