Obituary: Jacqueline Fay Peters Geracci, 73, Wellsville

Jacqueline Fay Peters Geracci, 73, of Wellsville, NY, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.  Born November 20, 1944, in Latrobe, PA, she was the daughter of Leroy and Dorothy Booth Peters.  Raised in Latrobe, her family later moved to Wellsville.  She married in 1962 and welcomed two children who survive, a son, Lyle (Margaret) Nye Jr. of Wellsville and a daughter, Lori Nye Greene, of Wellsville.  She remarried in 1978 and was blessed with her third child, Aaron Geracci of Wellsville, who survives.  Jaci was a hard worker and was employed in the supermarket business for many years and then went on to cosmetology school.  She was a local hairdresser for many years until her retirement.  She enjoyed reading and the companionship of her precious cat, ironically named Precious.  Jaci came from a large family of eight.  She is also survived by four sisters, Martha Kay (Richard) Andrucci of Pittsburgh, PA, Sandra (Steven) Hunt, Marilyn Hyslip, and Melinda Satterlee, all of Wellsville;  six granddaughters, Brianna, Nicole, Jessica, Taylor, Katie, and Marissa;  a grandson, Daniel;  a great-granddaughter, Harper;  a great-grandson, Hazen;  several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Peters and Jerry Peters;  and a sister, Shirley Lipyance.  Per Jaci’s request, there will be no services.  The family would like to extend thanks for the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes from friends.  Memorials may be made to the Hart Comfort House, 141 East State Street, Wellsville, NY 14895.  The family was assisted by the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.wellsvillefuneralhome.com.
