Bolivar man jailed - faces number drug counts

A Bolivar man was arrested by state police this morning half a dozen felony and misdemeanor drug crimes. At 1:54 a.m. Troopers stopped Andrew T. Smith, 23, of Bolivar on State Route 248 in Willing. He was charged with felony 4th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police allege he possessed a Hallucinogen. Smith was also charged with two counts of 7th degree drug possession, criminal use of drug paraphernalia to include scales and packages, possessing more than two ounces of marijuana as well as possessing a controlled substance outside its original container. Smith was arraigned in court and remanded to the Allegany County jail, where he remained at 12 p.m. New Year's Day. A judge set bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
