Timothy S. Ward, 57, of Scio, NY, died Friday, January 19,
2018 in his home after a seven-month battle with cancer. Born September 30, 1960, in Wellsville, he
was the son of Lewis Wilson and Anna Elizabeth Cummins Ward. On July 16, 1988, in the Knights Creek
Evangelical Methodist Church, Scio, NY, he married the former Dollie Rahr, who
survives. Tim owned and operated Ward
Construction in Scio and was employed by TPS Propane, starting their business
in Allegany County. He was a social
member of the American Legion and VFW in Wellsville and a former member of the
Moose. Tim was captain of the Mahogany
Ridge Pool League and president of the Budweiser Pool League. He served as caretaker of the Knights Creek
Cemetery for many years. Surviving
besides his wife, Dollie, are: three
siblings, Donna Layman of Scio, Nancy Borden of Belfast, and Lewis (Nancy)
Ward, Jr. of Brush Prairie, WA;
father-in-law, Lyle Rahr of Wellsville; brother-in-law, Charles McAhon
of FL; special friends, Fran and Carol
Slocum of Wellsville and Mark “Jitterbug” Wardak of Scio; many nieces and nephews; and feline friend, Jasmine. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Ralph Ward and Harold
Ward; and his mother-in-law, Mary
Rahr; sisters-in-law, Sandy Ward and
Dodie McAhon. Friends may call Tuesday,
January 23, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Mulholland-Crowell
Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY, where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday
at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Carl Kemp will
officiate. Burial will be in Knights
Creek Cemetery, Scio. Memorials may be
