SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. - Jacqueline Eva “Jackie” Dietze, 78, a
lifelong resident of Shinglehouse, passed away unexpectedly in her home on
Thursday, January 25, 2018.
Born on July 19, 1939 in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of
Levernon “Vernie” and Eva Foote Howard.
Jackie was a graduate of Oswayo Valley High School,
Shinglehouse, Class of 1957. She was a
loving mother, having raised her six sons.
She was a former member of the Shinglehouse American Legion Post 530
Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed feeding
and watching birds. She loved to
read. Jackie’s greatest love was her
family.
Surviving are four sons, Michael H. (Evie) Dietze of Ladson,
South Carolina, Roger M. (Vicki) Dietze of Shinglehouse, David A. Dietze of
Conyers, Georgia, and Virgil B. Dietze of Shinglehouse; several grandchildren
and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine “Ella” Howard and Yvonne
Milliken, both of Shinglehouse; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by two
sons, Gregory K. “Greg” Dietze and Gary G. Dietze; four brothers, Virgil L.
Howard, Vincent Howard, Henry “Hank” Howard, and Leonard “Joe” Howard; and a
sister, Aola Maxson.
In keeping with Jackie’s wishes, there will be no public
visitation or funeral services.
