Beatrice Minnie “Tootie” Clark “beloved wife, mother, grandmother and
great-grandmother”
COUDERSPORT, Pa. - Beatrice Minnie “Tootie” Tucker Clark,
98, a lifelong resident of Coudersport, passed away with her loving family at
her side on Friday, January 19, 2018, in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport,
after suffering a stroke on January 13, 2018.
Born on September 1, 1919, she was a daughter of Edgar
Harvey “EH” and Katherine “Katie” Mosch Tucker and granddaughter of Emil and
Wilhelmina Kortz Mosch. On May 16, 1942
in Colesburg, she married the love of her life, Milford L. Clark, who survives.
Tootie was a graduate of Coudersport High School, Class of
1937. She was employed at the former
Hamlin’s 5 & 10 in Coudersport. She
and her husband were the owners and operators of the Milbea Guernsey Dairy Farm
in Coudersport.
She was a member of the former Hebron Grange 1251. Tootie
was a devoted wife, and was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and
great-grandma. She was a friend and
neighbor to all and was always tending to others. Her greatest love was her family.
Surviving besides her devoted husband of over 75 years are a
daughter, Linda Lee Clark (Terry) Sturdevant of Coudersport; four
grandchildren, Christopher Clark of Germany, Jay (Christy) Baird of Franklin,
NC, and Krista Sturdevant (Rodney) Doran and Kimberly Sturdevant (John) Dailey,
both of Coudersport; seven great-grandchildren, Noah Baird, Myah Baird, Sarah
Baird, Gabby Doran, Rodney Doran, Jr., Emilee Dailey, and Jacob Dailey; a
sister, Ruth Tucker Thompson of Colesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Tootie was predeceased by a son,
James L. Clark; a daughter, Catherine Marie “Cathy” Clark Baird; two brothers,
Franklin “Bub” Tucker and Edgar “Sonny” Tucker; and a sister, Marjory “Sis”
Tucker Butz.
Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January
24, 2018 at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street,
Shinglehouse, where a celebration of Tootie’s life will follow at 4 p.m. with
the Rev. Howard R. Burnham, pastor emeritus of Hebron Union Church,
officiating.
