Clarence M. Grover, 96, of Genesee, PA, died Sunday,
December 10, 2017 in Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA. Born July 11, 1921, in Genesee, he was the
son of C. Wilbur and Ina Grover Grover.
On June 15, 1948, in Wellsville, NY, he married the former Alberta
Outman, who survives. A World War II
Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army from 1942 – 1945 in the European
Theatre and served in Panama from 1950 – 1951.
He was employed by Dresser-Rand in Wellsville for 32 years, retiring in
1983. He was a member of the Solid Rock
Bible Church. Surviving besides his
wife, Alberta, are: a daughter, Patricia
(Dennis) Lehman of Genesee; niece and
nephew he and Alberta raised, Brenda (Jamie) Loring of Genesee and Edward
(Christine) Easterling of Ulysses; nine
grandchildren; 15
great-grandchildren; a sister, Beuna
(Robert) Fuller of Wellsville; and
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased
by a foster daughter, Cheryl Frost; two brothers, Levi Grover and Lyle
Grover; and three sisters, Mary Stone, Ellen
Sykora, and Hattie Robbins. Friends may
call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA on Friday,
December 15, 2017 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 2:00
PM. Military Rites will be accorded in
the funeral home by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in North Bingham
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to the Genesee Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 9, Genesee, PA 16923.
